Job description

You will join the marketing team to work alongside the Senior Copywriter in his various responsibilities.

What you will do

Your tasks will notably include:

• Writing copy in English and French – with both readers and SEO in mind – for:
  • the corporate website (product and institutional content as well as news items),
  • the blog (long-form articles, thought leadership pieces, opinion pieces, interviews, newsjacking, customer testimonials, video scripts),
  • external media outlets (opinion and thought leadership pieces) and occasionally press releases.

• Creative and editorial responsibilities
  • Suggesting possible formats and angles to cover a topic.
  • Occasional creative copywriting, notably to create catchphrases.
  • Assist the Senior Copywriter in his role of blog editor-in-chief (identifying relevant topics and internal experts, in accordance with the editorial calendar, as well as project management).
  • Critical review of existing or partner content (in terms of objective, audience, treatment) and suggesting improvements where applicable.
• Editing and proofreading financial content in English and French (blog articles and white papers essentially) to ensure the best possible reading experience for a non-specialist audience.
• Coordinating translation outsourced to an agency, revising content in English and French as well as maintaining a English-French glossary.
• Content operations: maintaining a central content repository using GatherContent.

Preferred experience

Required Knowledge

• Flawless written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
  
• Previous experience in content production, editing and translation project management, ideally in financial services or fintech.
• Communication or journalism background a key asset.
• A keen eye for detail and a love of writing.
